Folks, I've been havin' nothin' but trouble and strife lately and have fallen way behind on my posting. I'll try to be closin' that gap, but first I had an emergency that took precedence over everything else and it might be instructive to others.
That message is simple: DO NOT LET YOUR MIND WANDER WHEN YOU'RE MAKIN' THE COFFEE.
It's simple, but it's true. If I'd a been paying attention, I might still have long hair today. As it is, I done burned half of it off in a blink of an eye. Here's the damage. It don't look so bad from the front, but come around to the back and it's Uneven Steven.
Fortunately, my friend Suzana Rupe came to the rescue with an emergency haircut at her place, and with her pal Pearl the Cockatiel cheering her on she went to work.
My hair went from a total length of 28" down
to 17" with a loss of 11" overall. Least it didn't go negative. Suzana evened it all out, and it don't look too bad. I'd been thinkin' about maybe shortening up anyway, but ya know, with less trauma.
If you suffer a stove accident, or even if you don't, you might want to make an appointment with the Queen (she does make-up effects too): queen_of_gore@yahoo.com
